Nigeria: Doctors Shelve Planned Strike
Monday, January 6, 2014
Medical Doctors have announced the suspension of its planned nationwide strike which was to take effect today.
The suspension is to give the federal government the room to implement agreements it signed with them at a meeting last Thursday, the doctors said.
The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) also expressed concern about the “possible impact of withdrawal of services” by doctors on Nigerians.
