Private equity fund LeapFrog Investments has exited a Kenyan insurance firm in which it first injected capital in 2011.

Apollo Investments Ltd, an insurer with interests in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, announced LeapFrog’s exit yesterday.

The PE fund has sold its minority stake to Swiss Re Direct Investment Company, a subsidiary of re-insurer Swiss Re Group.
