Report: Electrifying the World Through Off-Grid Solar Solutions
GOGLA’s Off-Grid Solar Market Trends Report 2022 projects that the number of people who will be electrified on a basic level through off-grid solar solutions by 2030 could reach 624 million.
Released at the Global Off-Grid Solar Forum and Expo in Rwanda in the middle of October, the second half of their report, Outlook, followed on the first half which detailed the current state of the sector.
The Outlook half of the report suggests that in addition to people who gain first-time access to modern electricity through off-grid solar products, millions of households around the world in “weak grid” areas will also benefit from off-grid solutions and productive use of energy technologies.
