Sisu Global Health raises $1.2 million, launches Hemafuse sales

Sisu Global Health announced $1.2 million in funding as the Remington–based medical device startup launches sales of its first product in Africa.

The convertible note round included existing investors Baltimore-basedCamden PartnersBelle Michigan and AOL cofounder Steve Case’sRevolution, which invested through its Rise of the Rest Seed Fund. New investors included the Women’s Angel Investor Network of DubaiKent and Russell Croft, and Chuck Clarvit, who is a Johns Hopkins University trustee. The Dreamit Health Baltimore alum, which was founded Carolyn YarinaGillian Henker and Katie Kirsch, raised $3.1 million to date.
