Sun Pharma Joins Hands With ICMR for Malaria Eradication Prog

In a first of its kind of public private partnership (PPP), pharmaceutical giant Sun Pharma has collaborated with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to eradicate malaria by 2030.

Under this programme, ICMR and Sun Pharma will establish ‘Malaria Free India’ to support the National Framework for Elimination of Malaria that was announced by the Health Ministry in February 2016.

The project will first be launched in malaria-ridden district of Mandla in Madhya Pradesh, said Altaf Lal, Senior Advisor, Global Health & Innovation at Sun Pharma.
