Tanzania: Home Child Delivery an HIV/Aids Risk

Statistics that 50 per cent of expectant mothers deliver at home has been explained as a challenge in the move to prevent mother to child transmission of HIV/AIDS.
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation (EGPAF) Country Director, Mr Jeroen Bosch, said in Dar es Salaam that the percentage in question was high and posing a big risk as some newborns miss out on treatment.
