Viewpoint: Impact investing needs business schools to get on board

After the global financial crisis, a new way of looking at business and finance – which integrates social and environmental impact more effectively – emerged.
In the business world, this is often referred to as inclusive business. In the finance world it is known as impact investing.
The impact investing industry is today worth US$228bn, roughly double what it was a year ago – according to the 2018 Global Impact Investing Network Annual Impact Investor Survey 2018 – and is widely expected to keep on growing.
