C.K. Prahalad wrote a highly acclaimed book in 2004 called the “The Fortune at the Bottom of the Pyramid.” It pointed out the large markets at the bottom of the economic pyramid and encouraged corporations to address these markets for profit and growth.

There is a similar pyramid in entrepreneurship, and that is the reality of venture financing at the bottom of the pyramid.
