NextBillion’s newsfeed highlights news and analysis relevant to impact-focused business, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The items on our newsfeed include brief excerpts and links to articles on other websites — especially local publications in LMICs — and full press releases intended for distribution online.

While our staff sources most of these items ourselves, we also welcome readers to submit relevant news/opinion/analysis and press releases for possible publication. We assess these submissions daily, and publish or excerpt those that best enhance our coverage.

A few requirements:

1. Items should be timely, with preferably less than one week — and no more than one month — online.
2. We don’t publish items that primarily announce an upcoming event, or a new accelerator, RFP, competition or other training/funding opportunity: You can submit those types of items to our events calendar or BizDev page.
3. We avoid items that announce leadership changes, unless the organization or individual in question are particularly newsworthy.
4. We only publish press releases that are already online (e.g., on news wire services, an organization’s website, etc.) — so please do not submit a press release that’s still under embargo.
5. We don’t publish direct links to research reports — but we do publish press releases or news articles about new research.
6. We do not edit or proofread submitted items, and all submissions must be in English.
