Carlued Leon is the global research manager at MANAUS Consulting, a consulting company that provides evaluation and strategy services in the areas of corporate social responsibility and international development. Leon is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing qualitative and quantitative evaluations worldwide. She is currently the lead evaluator of three gender-development programs in Nepal, Vietnam, and El Salvador. She recently returned from Brazil where she designed a framework to assess an early childhood education program funded by the Inter-American Development Bank.
She has presented articles in international forums like the Better Work Conference of the International Finance Corporation (World Bank) and published in journals like the Americas Quarterly. Before joining MANAUS Consulting, Carlued worked providing research support to the microfinance institution ACCION San Diego and served as a data analysis consultant for Grameen Foundation. Leon holds an M.P.I.A. in Public Policy & Development Economics from the University of California, San Diego and a B.A. in International Studies from the Universidad Central de Venezuela.
