Hugh Sinclair

Hugh Sinclair holds an economics degree with a specialization in econometrics; a masters degree in corporate finance; and an MBA from IESE Business School. He worked at Barclays and ING Barings in corporate finance, derivatives, and as a trader, in Canada and the UK. Since 2002 he has worked in SME and microfinance, and lived in Mozambique, Mexico, Mongolia, Argentina and the Netherlands. His specializations include strategic planning, logistics, MIS and back-office restructuring, productivity/PAR improvement, and competitive positioning. The author of “Confessions of a Microfinance Heretic,” hecurrently works as a consultant for a select group of clients who strive to provide ethical, beneficial microfinance to the poor.
