Guest Blogger Alia Mahmoud is an intern with Ashoka’s Hybrid Value Chain Initiative. A graduate of The George Washington University in 2007 she will head to New York City in the Fall of 2009 to pursue a graduate degree in Global Affairs at New York University, with a focus on the role of the private sector in economic development.

Ever since her internship with the UNDP Growing Inclusive Markets initiative early on in college, she has been involved in the field of inclusive business. She hopes to pursue this passion in graduate school and beyond.
