Ellen Metzger is director of programs and field finance for Village Enterprise. Village Enterprise has helped lift more than 600,000 people out of extreme poverty. With Village Enterprise since 2010, Metzger has since  been based in East Africa since 2012 and has worked as a SMART fellow and Associate Director of Programs. Currently based in Soroti, Uganda, she is deeply interested in international and economic development as well as small and medium enterprise development in Africa.
