Glen Burnett
Director, US Operations for Practical Action

Glen Burnett has been working at the crossroads of international development and the private sector for the past decade – for a Latin American telecom, a USAID contractor, the social enterprise Agora Partnerships, and as a Peace Corps volunteer in Benin. Most recently, he developed customer experience strategy for the Fortune 500 telecom NII Holdings (Nextel in Latin America) in advance of the launch of next-generation networks.

Previously, he managed business development for a USAID consulting firm, CARANA Corporation, where, as a key member of the market linkages team, he laid groundwork to maximize value chain impact in several countries. As the first U.S.-based hire for Agora Partnerships, he supported their mission to accelerate the success of early-stage impact entrepreneurs who share their community’s commitment to solving social and environmental challenges through business.

Glen has an MBA from the University of Maryland, and speaks English, Spanish and French. He can be contacted via LinkedIn and Twitter, and you can follow him on his blog.
