Jessie Tientcheu
Grameen Foundation

Jessie Tientcheu is the senior director of programs at Grameen Foundation, where she works to ensure the implementation of quality programs and partnerships in Africa, Asia and Latin America. She was previously the deputy of programs at Freedom from Hunger, which joined forces with Grameen Foundation in October 2016. Prior to joining Freedom from Hunger, she worked with the Imp-Act Consortium, a global association of organizations, promoting social performance management by microfinance institutions. She has also worked with the U.N. Development Program Grassroots Poverty Reduction Program in Cameroon, provided technical assistance to Cameroonian microfinance institutions and their clients as a Peace Corps volunteer, and conducted research on small businesses and microenterprise. She earned a master’s degree in urban policy analysis and management (New School University), a bachelor’s degree in economics (Sarah Lawrence College) and speaks French.
