Acumen Fund

John manages Acumen Fund’s Global Fellows Program and leads Acumen’s influence and policy strategies in Washington, DC. Prior to Acumen Fund, John worked as a program analyst at the U.S. Department of Justice, managing $17 million of U.S. foreign assistance funds for rule of law development programs throughout Africa and the Middle East. He later served as a senior policy analyst in the Office of Mayor Michael Bloomberg in New York City. He has researched at the Vale Columbia Center on Sustainable International Investment, a joint center at Columbia University’s Law School and the Earth Institute, and consulted for TechnoServe in Ethiopia. John holds a BA from Middlebury College and a Masters of International Affairs in Economic and Political Development from Columbia University.
