Jørund Buen is co-founder and partner at Differ, which provides early-stage capital and advisory services within renewable energy and energy efficiency in developing countries. Differ founded Brighterlite, a wireless solar utility targeting developing country households. Buen has assisted the CEO of Brighterlite Myanmar on a management-for-hire contract. He is currently CEO of Prime, which sells fuel-efficient, ultra-clean biomass stoves for households in developing countries. He has also been the Myanmar country representative of Scatec Solar, an integrated provider of grid-connected solar power plants. Buen previously co-founded and co-managed Point Carbon (a leading provider of analysis, advisory services, data and news to the carbon and energy markets), acquired by Thomson Reuters.
