Josh Dobiac is Principal and Risk Consultant at Milliman Financial Risk Management. He specializes in Asset/Liability Management, for both general and separate (segregated funds) products. He has substantial experience managing insurance liability risk, including balancing economic, regulatory and accounting issues in the U.S. (PBR, GAAP LDTI), and internationally (Solvency II, IFRS 17, ICS). Josh has helped build and manage ALM/hedging programs globally, including notably in the U.S., Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore.  Josh has also been actively involved in ESG investing for institutional investors.

Prior to Milliman, Josh had over seven years of ALM and hedging management experience for several insurance companies in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

He holds a Masters of Science in mathematics from the University of California, as well as an LL.M. and J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law., where he graduated with honors and was managing editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal.
