Karen Schlein is the global alliance manager at Zyomyx Inc., a California-based company that makes point-of-care diagnostic devices. She focuses on the commercialization of products in low-resource settings in addition to new business development. Karen has spent 15 years in global public health working on marketing and access initiatives in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Prior to joining Zyomyx, she held positions with the University of California, San Francisco’s Global Health Group, the Institute for OneWorld Health and Population Services International. Karen earned an MBA and a master’s in public health from Emory University in Atlanta.
