Keya Madhvani and Raphaela Sapire
Innovation Associate and Business Development Analyst at Acumen Fund

As Innovation Associate, Keya Madhvani manages and implements initiatives taking place under the immediate direction of the CEO. Prior to her current position, Keya worked for two years as Business Associate with Acumen in India. She held a cross-functional role, working on the Business Development, Communications and Talent teams, supporting local fund-raising, managing external communications and assisted in expanding Acumen’s community in India. Prior to joining Acumen, Keya completed an extended internship with the Clinton Global Initiative in New York. Her entrepreneurial experience comes from co-founding and helping build an organization called iVote, to encourage students to register to vote in India. She holds a BA in Economics with Honors from St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai and an MSc in Global Governance and Diplomacy from St Antony’s College, University of Oxford.

Raphaela Sapire joined Acumen in 2013 as a Business Development Analyst. Prior to joining Acumen, Raphaela worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the TechnologyInvestment Banking Group where she designed financial models to forecast financial growth, analyze pro forma effects of M&A activity, and define capital raising scenarios. She previously worked at an early stage venture capital fund where she conducted due diligence on, and assessed market potential for investment opportunities in early stage growth technology startups. Raphaela received her BA from Barnard College, Columbia University with a degree in urban planning and economics.
