Mary Hobbs

Mary Hobbs is the Director for the Agriculture, Environment, and Business Office at USAID/Mozambique. She has previously served in seven other USAID missions, leading Economic Growth Offices in Africa, South Asia and Eastern Europe. Ms. Hobbs previously worked in academia and state and federal government, specializing in land tenure, community resource management, and agriculture. She began her international development career as a Peace Corps agriculture extension volunteer in Mali.

Hobbs holds a B.A. in History from the University of Missouri, an M.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, and a PhD in Land Resources from the University of Wisconsin.
