Gupta,who has been in the industry for almost two decades, is a seasoned researcher, marketer and planner who cut his teeth at SAMIR in 1998. Since then he has worked on brands across almost every category. Career brands include Nestle, HP, Garnier, Fidelity, Beam Brands, Honda Cars, Honda Motorcycles, Canon, ICICI Direct, Infosys, UB Group, Suzlon, Vimal, Samsung, Hyundai, Incredible India, India Shining, Deutsche Bank, among others. Prior to joining Cheil, Gupta was director strategic planning at Dentsu Marcon India.

Apart from being an avid blogger and social commentator, Gupta has won numerous awards and accolades for his work, most notable being the Euro Effie for Incredible India and the Asian Brand Marketing Effectiveness Award for Samsung Cup.
