Ray Cummings is the director of PATH’s Market Dynamics Department, which provides market analytic and strategic support for PATH programs and partner organizations that are working to develop healthy markets for innovative health care products in low- and middle-income countries. Prior to assuming his current position in July 2015, Ray was commercialization director of PATH’s Drug Development Global Program and senior business officer in PATH’s Vaccine and Pharmaceutical Technologies Group. Ray has more than 30 years of experience in commercialization and executive leadership in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and global health fields. Prior to joining PATH, he held several executive leadership roles, including vice president of business development with AVI BioPharma Inc., president of Cummings Consulting, LLC., and director of corporate licensing at Searle. Ray earned a master’s in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Harvard University.
