Assistant Vice President and Head of MetLife Foundation for Latin America

Tracy Garcia is the Assistant Vice President and Head of MetLife Foundation for Latin America. Garcia is charged with developing and managing a multi-million dollar grant-making portfolio that seeks to dramatically improve the quality of life for low-income individuals and families across the region. She is also responsible for the management of Fundación MetLife, MetLife’s Mexico Foundation, to ensure its alignment with the overall mission and vision of MetLife Foundation.

Prior to joining MetLife Foundation, Garcia was a Development Specialist with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) focusing on measuring the development impact associated with the IDB’s Structured and Corporate Finance private sector projects. She helped design Shared Value Programs, strategies that create value and address business problems through inclusive community business models for transportation, manufacturing, and agribusiness clients. Garcia also worked at the International Finance Corporation where she served as the liaison for the Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and Services Department to help measure project development results.

Garcia holds a Master of Arts degree in International Business and International Environmental Policy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Williams College.
