About the Role

We are seeking a collaborative and strategic Director, Technology & Product to oversee our product strategy, incorporation of AI into our infrastructure, development partnerships, and integration with leading wealth management firms.

This role sits at the intersection of financial technology operations, product development, and technology partner management. The Director will ensure our technological ecosystem is scalable and aligned with company strategy while helping the organization implement disciplined product processes for developing and launching new capabilities.

The ideal candidate is a technically fluent operator and systems thinker who enjoys working across teams, managing external partners, and helping translate business needs into effective technology solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Platform Oversight

Lead the relationship with our outsourced development team (4-8 team members) responsible for maintaining and enhancing our client-facing platform.

Lead product strategy and coordinate development priorities across internal stakeholders.

Lead in the understanding and adoption of AI tools into the client-facing platform, understanding key client use cases and limitations while appropriately evaluating platforms for CapShift’s long-term success and scalability.

Ensure development work follows Agile methodologies and aligns with product priorities.

Oversee and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Product Development

Develop expertise on how private wealth and charitable firms can use technology to build and manage impact investing programs and portfolios.

Lead the Team in the product development process, including building a product roadmap and synthesizing use cases and product insights from across the company.

Help embed product thinking and disciplined experimentation across the company.

Turn prioritized product features into clear requirements and coordinate with the outside development team as needed.

Technology Infrastructure

Serve as the internal owner of the company’s outsourced IT consultant, which provides help desk support, to maintain and evolve cybersecurity policies and best practices.

Identify appropriate tools and drive customization and adoption of AI across the company.

Ensure smooth and secure employee onboarding and offboarding, including provisioning and access management.

Oversee the management of company technology infrastructure and systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.

Own the company’s SOC 2 process, coordinating documentation, policies, and control reviews.

Internal Technology Strategy

Work across departments to understand internal infrastructure and workflow technology needs.

Identify and evaluate technology solutions that support company growth including investment research, impact reporting, financial performance software, and private investment software.

Lead implementation and integration of new internal systems where appropriate.

 

Required Qualifications

5–7 years of experience in product management, technical program management, and technology operations; preferred that some or all of the experience is in financial services

Experience managing technical vendors and outsourced development teams

Experience working in Agile product development environments

Familiarity with Salesforce

Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience implementing product operations or product development frameworks

Strong interest in AI and emerging technologies; experience implementing AI tools across an organizations preferred

Comfortable operating in a growing, fast-moving organization

Systems thinker who enjoys connecting people, technology, and strategy
