We’re Atlas, a venture-backed fintech company rethinking the $380 billion financial inclusion market opportunity to deliver financial services to the 6 billion underbanked. Our branchless community banking platform, Atlas Money, and Access Network, our decentralized governance token structure, leverage blockchain technology to empower underserved people to bank each other.
We are seeking a Global Head of Operations to scale Atlas Money’s Africa operations.
The Head of Operations will utilize their experience in scaling a high-growth, global tech company to rapidly expand and scale our customer base in Africa. To start, this person will work to improve on-the-ground operations in Ghana and Senegal, to develop our GTM strategy in emerging markets, and to provide a link between HQ and regional offices. After perfecting existing operations, they will develop an expansion strategy for Atlas going forward.
Atlas Money is headquartered in New York City. While the role is flexible in terms of base location it will require significant in-country travel in Ghana and Senegal.
-Review, reform and enforce the Atlas Money operations playbook to achieve maximum customer adoption and activity rates in existing markets
-Hire and build strong operations teams in Ghana and Senegal
-Manage operations teams and performance across Ghana and Senegal
-Develop a precise and seamless operations strategy for Atlas recruiters, launchers, superagents and agents
-Identify new markets and replicate operations to achieve seamless growth
-Work with country managers to create and assess KPIs across key metrics and regional offices
-Analyze consumer trends and behaviors in the mobile banking/finance sector and ensure tight product-market alignment
-Collaborate with Head of Product on product development and Head of Finance/Treasury to optimize product pricing and maximize revenues
-Develop agent and superagent incentive structures in line with Atlas targets
-Use customer and agent data to identify opportunities
Experience and Qualifications
-Experience in scaling high-growth, global tech companies is essential
-Experience with globally distributed teams
-French speaker a plus
-Leads from the front and can bring the team with them
-Reports to – CEO, President, Chief of Staff
-Works with – Country Managers, Head of Engineering, Head of Finance/Treasury, PMs
-Oversees – Country Operations Managers
-Salary commensurate with experience
