2. CONTEXT OF THE ROLE

The position will support the Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Greentech4CE Programme, a EUR
22.7 million European Union-funded initiative aimed at accelerating the development, adoption, and
commercialization of green, circular, and digital innovations that contribute to sustainable economic
growth, climate resilience, resource efficiency, and private sector competitiveness.
Working closely with the PMU and implementation partners, the role will ensure that Greentech4CE’s
innovations achieve successful market entry and scale by aligning technical expertise with regulatory
compliance, stakeholder engagement, environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, and
integrated capacity-building interventions. The role will also contribute to strengthening the visibility,
uptake, and impact of project interventions through active representation at local, regional, and
international events, while ensuring that all branding, communication, and knowledge-sharing activities
comply with EU visibility and communication requirements.
The position will provide technical and coordination support to the PMU in the planning, implementation,
monitoring, and promotion of project activities, helping to ensure the effective delivery of programme
objectives and expected results.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Regulatory & Compliance

• Navigate local and international standards for green technologies.
• Secure certifications and approvals to enable smooth market access.
2. Market Access Strategy & Capacity Building
• Identify barriers (tariffs, technical standards, policy gaps) and design solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Development Support Providers (BDSPs) to prepare selected startups
and SMEs for market readiness.
• Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to ensure startups/SMEs can effectively
participate in events.
• Develop toolkits, compliance documentation, and market-entry playbooks.
• Align capacity building with ESG principles to ensure sustainable and socially responsible
growth.

3. Coordination with Technical Team/Partners
• Work closely with Greentech4ce’s technical experts and partners to align product specifications
with market requirements.
• Translate technical outputs into accessible insights for policymakers, investors, and customers.
• Support adaptation of innovations to meet regulatory and market demands.
4. Event Participation & Representation
• Identify, prepare for, and represent Greentech4ce at events such as GITEX, ICA, NABII,

INVEST
Zambia SLUSH, Innovation Technology Summits, Green Manufacturers Fair, Circular Zambia
event etc.
• Deliver presentations, join panels, and showcase innovations.
• Network with regulators, investors, and partners to accelerate adoption.
• Support startups and SMEs in maximizing visibility and impact.
• Set up and manage calendars for investor, partner, and stakeholder meetings.
• Organize pitching events and coordinate schedules across teams.
5. Funders, Partners & Sales Leads Identification
• Identify strategic partners (funders, industry players, NGOs, government programmes).
• Facilitate market linkages, buyer introductions, and commercial partnership opportunities for supported SMEs and startups
• Maintain a pipeline of opportunities and report progress to project leadership.
6. Travel & Logistics Coordination
• Manage travel requirements (visas, flights, accommodation).
• Coordinate booth setup, branding, and exhibition logistics.
• Arrange local transport and on-site support.
• Ensure compliance with EU visibility and branding standards in logistics.
7. Branding & Communication

• Ensure all communications and promotional materials comply with EU Visibility
guidelines.
• Align messaging with EU standards for transparency, inclusivity, and sustainability.
• Coordinate with communication teams to maintain consistent branding.
4. REQUIREMENTS

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, International Trade, or related field.
• Master of Business Administration
• ESG & Circular Economy certification is an added advantage
Professional Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project implementation support, market access,
sustainability, or technical project management.
• Proven track record in supporting SMEs/startups in local, regional and international market
entry.
• Experience in event coordination and representation at regional/international forums.
• Familiarity with EU-funded projects and compliance with EU visibility/branding guidelines.
Technical & Business Skills
• Strong knowledge of ESG principles and sustainability frameworks.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and certification processes for green technologies.
• Ability to identify and engage funders, partners, and sales leads.
• Skilled in capacity building, training, and mentoring SMEs/startups.
• Proficiency in managing travel logistics, event booths, and calendars for investor/partner
meetings.
