Brazil’s Odata Invests Close to US$80 Million in First Mexican Hyperscale Datacenter

Brazilian datacenter firm Odata has opened its first Mexican hyperscale datacenter after an investment of 388mn reais (US$79mn), LatAm expansion director, Vitor Caram (pictured), told BNamericas.

Dubbed QR01, the datacenter is set on a 52,350m2 area in an industrial park in El Marqués, Querétaro state, and has 30,400m2 of built area.

The datacenter’s total projected power capacity is 32MW, which Caram estimates will be reached within about four years after all the expansion phases are completed. For the first phase, the site went live with 8.4MW of installed capacity.
