Impact investing firm Investors’ Circle closes on $3.1M, looks for deals

Durham-based “impact investing” firm Investors’ Circle just closed on $3.1 million – a sum that, according to executive director Bonny Moellenbrock, will go toward a very specific type of startup.

Investors’ Circle, like all other investors, are trying to invest in companies that can grow and give returns.

“But they are also interested in investing in companies that have a positive environmental or social impact,” she tells me.

And she confirms that the firm is “very close” to investing in a local startup doing just that.
