Pakistan Introduces HPV Vaccine to Protect Girls From Cervical Cancer, Joining 150 Countries
The Government of Pakistan’s Federal Directorate for Immunization (FDI), in partnership with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance (Gavi), UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO), today launched the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign to protect adolescent girls from cervical cancer in later stages of their lives. This marks a major leap forward in strengthening women’s health and advancing Pakistan’s commitment to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health problem by 2030.
