Dilwonberish Aberra is an associate program officer with the Financial Services for the Poor Program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. She has 15 years of experience in economic development working with both domestic and international NGOs, including Habitat for Humanity International, The Carter Center, CARE and Refugee Women’s Network Inc. She earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Berea College in Berea, Ky., and a master’s degree in sustainable international development from Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass.
