Alina Koganis an investment officer, leading Venture Lab’s work in Latin America. Alina began her career as a social entrepreneur, founding a school in Afghanistan and leading grassroots development projects in Mexico and Brazil. As a strategy consultant at Dalberg, she helped the IFC launch SME Ventures funds in frontier markets and advised the IDB on facilitating investments in renewable energy in Central America. Her recent experience includes managing finance for a clean tech start-up in emerging markets, venture investing at Pershing Square Foundation and Fanisi VC Fund in East Africa, and Latin American investment banking at Citigroup. Alina is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.Alina holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy and international affairs from Princeton University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

 

Rishabh Khoslais a senior investment analyst with Venture Lab, supporting the team’s global deal activity and portfolio engagement from DC. Prior to joining Accion, Rishabh was a management consultant at Bain and Company for three years, where he supported a diverse array of client projects in financial services, industrial goods and services, and healthcare in the US, Europe, and India. In college, Rishabh interned at development-orientated think-tanks, conducted and published extensive field research on rural governance in India, and edited a student-run international affairs publication. Rishabh is originally from India, has lived in Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and the United States and speaks English, Hindi, Urdu, and Persian.
