Bill Gallery is an Operations Officer in the Climate Finance team in IFC’s Financial Institutions Group (FIG), focused on supporting banks and other FIs in the off-grid and distributed solar sectors. He manages FIG’s global distributed solar advisory support programs, supports advisory engagements with individual FI clients, and advises IFC investment teams on distributed solar markets and transactions. He has been a member of IFC’s Lighting Global team, previously managing the Lighting Myanmar project and supporting IFC’s global work in the off-grid sector.

Before joining IFC, Bill worked in development for more than 10 years, with expertise in clean energy and energy access and a particular focus on Southeast Asia. Based in the region from 2012 to 2017, he worked for a range of energy sector clients, including the ADB, GIZ, and private companies. Originally from the U.S., Bill has a Bachelors in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University and a Masters in International Policy from Stanford University, focusing on Energy, Environment and Natural Resources.
