Byoung-Hwa Hwang is aMarketing and CommunicationsFellow at Grameen Foundation, supporting its Mobile Financial Services programs in Uganda. Prior, Byoung worked at The World Bank Group as a Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist, focusing on private sector development and investment climate reforms. She also worked as a Management Consultant at Accenture. Byoung holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Trier (Germany), and a Master of Arts in Communication Management from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California (USC).

 

Francis Wasswa is an economist who completed his Magister Commercii Economics degree (Cum Laude) at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He is currently the Research and Product Development Manager at Pride Microfinance. Francis lectured in economics for five years, supervising post-graduate research papers in environmental, international and public economics. Further, he engaged in various programs and projects in the valuation of natural resources’ amenities most notably, the South African Water Research Commission/Department of Water Affairs’ Estuarine restoration program. He has authored several works on economics.
