Chandni Ohri is CEO of Grameen Foundation India, which was established in August 2010 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Grameen Foundation. She has more than 12 years of experience in financial services, microfinance and international development, and was previously director of Asia Programs at Grameen Foundation, where she was instrumental in creating Grameen Foundation India. In addition, she managed managed key initiatives, such as a $4.3 million grant for Tsunami recovery in Indonesia, leading Grameen Foundation’s efforts in resolving the microfinance crisis in India in 2006 by leading discussions with the World Bank and major financial media outlets, and managing the delinquency crisis for a microfinance institution partner in Pakistan. She earned a master’s in business administration degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (India), and a master’s in international development from University of Washington, Seattle.
