Charles Sweetland co-leads CrossBoundary’s Data Analytics team (CBDA) and is based out of the Nairobi office. He holds an MSc in Advanced Mathematics and BSc in Mathematics from the University of Exeter. Prior to joining CrossBoundary, Charles founded a Data Science Consultancy in the Southwest of England, developing data science software for various industries, including Medicine, Transport, Manufacturing, and Marketing. Before this, he authored three R packages in human behaviour classification for Activinsights, a medical device company providing analysis for clinical trials.

At CrossBoundary, Charles uses data science approaches to advance CrossBoundary’s mission of facilitating investment in frontier markets, working with large, complex data sets to support advisory projects.
