Gary Carrier is a portfolio analyst at MCE Social Capital and is responsible for portfolio monitoring, impact analysis, pipeline development and due diligence. His experience also includes fieldwork and analysis for Habitat for Humanity’s housing microfinance initiatives in Mexico, and several years in Latin America helping non-governmental organizations improve and expand programs in underserved communities. Carrier holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and a master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley. While completing his graduate studies, he also taught several courses on international development and was the recipient of UC Berkeley’s Outstanding Student Instructor Award for excellence in teaching. Carrier continues to write and speak on low-income housing issues, international development, microfinance and impact investing.
