Gigi Gatti is currently the Director, Technology for Development at Grameen Foundation, USA and leads the technology innovation team from Grameen’s headquarters in Washington, DC.  Gigi formerly served as Grameen’s Regional Director, Asia and oversaw Grameen’s programs in the Philippines and Indonesia.  In the Philippines, Gigi led the Community Agent Network (CAN) program that laid out an infrastructure of MNO-agnostic digitally-enabled payment agents in underserved areas and the Farmerlink program, a resiliency program that delivered a suite of mobile tools, including farm management plans and an early warning system for smallholder coconut farmers.  In Indonesia, Gigi led the delivery of farm development plans for smallholder cocoa farmers; this program is now being successfully replicated in Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire. Gigi has over 25 years work experience in the IT, banking, insurance and microfinance industries. She holds an MBA and a Computer Science degree, is a Certified Microfinance Expert and a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
