Ioan Cleaton-Jones is Senior Director, Healthcare Delivery at the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan. He has managed healthcare projects in 34 countries, including 28 low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe. He has worked as an institutional investor on 75 healthcare investment transactions in LMICs totaling $1.2 billion. Prior to joining the William Davidson Institute, he served as Principal Healthcare Specialist at the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation for 11 years, prior to which he worked internationally with several firms as a management consultant focused primarily on healthcare. He was a practicing physician earlier in his career. He has an MBA from the University of Southampton, UK as well as a medical degree and BSc, both from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa.
