Jesse Marsden is the Chief of Staff at RESULTS, an organization of volunteers using their voices to influence political decisions to end poverty worldwide. Marsden supports the development of new business areas of the organization and the creation and strengthening of organizational strategies that support ending poverty by 2030. He currently leads work at RESULTS on ultra-poverty including the creation of a new team at RESULTS focused on this issue. The team is advocating for policy and resource commitments from the global community to scale up comprehensive national strategies that specifically address ultra-poverty. These strategies combine targeting with innovations like BRAC’s graduation approach along with social protection programs like cash transfer systems. Prior to this work, Marsden was a Program Manager at the Microcredit Summit Campaign, where he oversaw the 100 Million Campaign and worked to ensure financial access for the very poor.
