Louise Malady is a senior research fellow with the law faculty, University of New South Wales Sydney. Malady researches and advises regulators on the reform of regulatory arrangements for digital financial services (DFS) and payment systems in emerging markets (including Nepal, Solomon Islands, Malawi and Timor‑Leste). Malady has organised and conducted training courses for central bank staff on regulating the use of agents in DFS and for industry and government stakeholders on DFS issues. Malady has worked with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and with the Reserve Bank of Australia in frontline regulation and policy development roles.
