Marindame Kombate is based in Ghana and holds the position of Investment Analyst for E+Co, a public purpose organization that assists SMEs in the renewable energy sector in Latin America, Africa and Asia. Before joining E+Co in May 2009, Mr. Kombate had worked as a Management Trainee and a Research Assistant at Volta Aluminium Company Ltd (VALCO) in Ghana and Africagrowth Institute in South Africa respectively. As a Research Assistant, he actively participated in various research projects pertaining to the African Investment Climate, Banks’ Relationships with SMEs and the Business Confidence Index for the South African SMEs. He co-authored a book entitled “Voices of Success: Cases from African SMEs” which brims with real-life stories and lessons for SMEs.

Born in Ghana, Mr. Kombate started his elementary education in neighboring Togo, where he successfully obtained the international baccalaureate certificate in Philosophy and Languages (French, English and Spanish) in 2002. He later proceeded to the University of Ghana, Legon and graduated in 2006 with a First Degree in Business Administration (First Class Honors). He also holds a Master of Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch Business School, South Africa.
