Stephen Caleb Opuni is the Country Director for the IDP Foundation in Ghana, where he leads a team focusing on influence strategy and effective partnerships for the non-state education sector at a national and global level.  An economist by training, Stephen has over 10 years’ experience in the development sector across education, gender equality, health, and economic rights. Prior to joining the IDP Foundation, he was acting Head of Programs and Policy for ActionAid Ghana. He is well-versed in the complexities of education provision across the state and non-state sectors and has a dedication to developing strategies and alliances that focus on sustainable solutions beyond aid.

Stephen holds a BSc in Natural Resource Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, an MSc in Food Security and Natural Resource Management from the University of Hohenheim, and an MSc in Forest Sciences and Business from the University of Helsinki. He is based in Accra, Ghana.
