Wendy Gonzalez is the CEO of Sama, the mission-driven provider of accurate data for ambitious artificial intelligence companies. As of February 2022, Gonzalez is responsible for closing the largest round of financing for a woman-led AI infrastructure company. Together with her team of data experts, Gonzalez continues to lay the groundwork to transform the artificial intelligence industry through high-quality training data and the removal of dangerous biases from ML algorithms. Before joining Sama, Wendy spent two decades leading teams for the top organizations in the technology and consulting space, including EY, Capgemini, Cycle30 (acquired by Arrow Electronics), and General Communications Inc. Since joining Sama, Wendy has led the company to recognition on the Forbes AI 50 list as well as the Inc. 5000 list for two years in a row. Prior to taking on her role as CEO, Gonzalez spent five years at Sama as COO. She is an active Board Member of the Leila Janah Foundation.
