PV Magazine Webinar | Avoiding Costly Risks for Solar Assets
Every solar project begins with the expectation of a smooth build, timely commissioning, and consistent, profitable cash flow to the system owner. However, reality often tells a different story. All too often, the problems that derail a promising project start early, and could have been easily avoided. These mistakes can lead to very expensive problems down the line, up to and including fires. What are the potential pitfalls of a solar project that can damage return on investment, and how can developers and asset owners prevent these risks? In this pv magazine Webinar, together with the experts from Clean Energy Associates (CEA), we will review various risks faced by solar assets, such as permitting and interconnection rejections, actions that may void a warranty, extended production outages, and thermal events. Using specific project examples and case studies, they will illustrate the financial impact of these failures.
Nicholas Hudson, principal engineer, and Ankil Sanghvi, senior engineering manager at CEA, will shed light on how thermal events and other costly safety issues are often driven by preventable failures.
pv magazine Webinar content:
• How to avoid unnecessary cost and schedule overruns due to incorrect planning, design and equipment selection
• Overview of preventable issues that lead to thermal events and fires
• Quantifying the impact of these issues on the profitability of a solar project
• Q&AQuestions can be submitted beforehand in the comments window when registering or in the chat during the live webinar. Ryan Kennedy, editor at pv magazine USA, will be the moderator of this webinar.
