The AVPN Executive Fellowship in Philanthropy is designed for experienced philanthropy and impact leaders ready to deepen their ability to lead collaboration and drive systemic change. It brings together alumni of AVPN Fellowships and a select group of senior leaders invited by AVPN to explore one of the sector’s most persistent challenges: how to build partnerships that endure complexity, navigate competing interests, and move capital and action towards shared outcomes.

Delivered by experts from the Cambridge Judge Business School, the Fellowship combines leading research with the realities of practice. Fellows will examine why collaboration succeeds or stalls; how the catalytic capital approach shapes partnerships; and how systemic and circular models can open new possibilities for collective action. Through faculty-led learning, peer exchange and real-world cases of cross-sector collaboration, they will test these ideas against the challenges they face in their own work.

At the heart of the Fellowship is a small, senior cohort. Fellows will learn from Cambridge Judge faculty, but equally from peers bringing experience from across Asia’s philanthropy and social investment ecosystem. The experience is designed not simply to build knowledge but to sharpen how participants lead. By establishing this peer network, Fellows will gain stronger frameworks for collaboration and a clearer strategy for the partnerships.
