A Change in Behavior: Innovations in Financial Capability

The webinar will serve as the launch of A Change in Behavior: Innovations in Financial Capability.  This report–funded by JPMorgan Chase & Co and produced by the Center for Financial Inclusion–assesses the global landscape of financial capability innovations, with special focus on India and Mexico. The accompanying Catalogue of Innovations provides a look at dozens of specific financial capability solutions, and the Frequently Asked Questions reflect a dialogue about the findings carried out by over 70 experts.

During the webinar, Elisabeth Rhyne, managing director of the Center for Financial Inclusion, will introduce seven effective behaviorally informed practices that were identified in our research.  Colleen Briggs of JP Morgan Chase & Co will comment on the paradigm shift from financial literacy to financial capability and from knowledge-based metrics to behavior-based metrics.  Two leading financial service providers will share how they have integrated behaviorally informed practices into their work:

Ram Ramdas, Managing Director & CEO, Jana Urban Foundation, India

Carlos Lopez-Moctezuma, Global Director for Financial Inclusion, BBVA
