Gender norms are playing a central role when it comes to access and use of agriculture technologies. How can we make these technologies more gender sensitive/neutral?

The online session will cover:
1. Current gender roles in agriculture in the global south
2. The role of technology in mainstreaming gender in agriculture- both from the perspective of reducing drudgery in existing roles and also getting women’s participation in additional roles
3. Existing technologies which are not gender sensitive and a discussion around how to make them gender sensitive
4. Best practices that should be followed in designing, developing, deploying, and commercializing gender sensitive agricultural technologies
