With only a decade to 2030 and the agenda of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) firmly at the centre of global debates, there is now a growing concern, with the international community questioning if the trillion dollars funding gap could actually be met to achieve the SDGs.

How can we significantly increase access to long-term private finance to fund development projects and the region’s infrastructure especially in energy, water, healthcare and agriculture? How can the various stakeholders work with institutional investors to scale up blended finance and their activities in Africa?

Now in its 2nd year, the Blended Finance Africa will bring together key industry stakeholders to

• Discuss new approaches and structures in scaling up blended finance as well as their activities in the region;
• Present blended finance investment opportunities to global investors and partners; and
• Build on the efforts, discussions and progress recorded since last year.
