#GlobalDev and the New Social Media Era

Gone are the days when global development and humanitarian professionals questioned the value of social media: Most organizations now use these platforms as an essential part of their communications, outreach and fundraising work. But the pandemic accelerated changes in this already fast-moving field.

In this live event we’ll discuss emerging trends and new platforms, and how NGOs and international organizations can prioritize their social media work. We’ll also talk about how these groups can tackle the rising challenges of trolling and misinformation.

You’ll hear from:

  • Dante Licona, senior social media officer, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
  • Jack Nolos, associate social media officer, UN Refugee Agency
  • Jessica Abrahams, editor, Devex Pro

You’ll also have a chance to ask questions.
